Of the various job opportunities in Japan, the demand for Japanese language translators is quite high. If you can translate English to Japanese or you can carry Japanese German translation or translation of Japanese into Spanish, French, Chinese, and other foreign languages, you can easily find a job in Japan.

You can find jobs at private conversation schools as well as at JET-Japan Exchange and Teaching. JET is a government run program that recruits foreigners for foreign language teaching and counselling at Japanese schools and companies. As a JET assistant, you would get an opportunity to work in a junior high school in Japan.

If you wish to work in a language conversation school, you would be glad to know that there are more than 200 such schools all across Japan. Though the recruitment criterion may vary from one school to the other, most schools hire people that have fluency in speaking Japanese, as well as English and other foreign languages. You must possess knowledge about Japanese characters, Japanese words translation, and should be able to translate English to Japanese and vice versa.

Hone your language translation skills and look for Japanese language translator jobs. Working and living in Japan is going to be a great experience.
